Annual Leave
Employees who have completed one year of service are entitled to 21 working days of paid annual leave per year. After 5 consecutive years of service, this increases to 30 days in accordance with Saudi Labor Law. All leave requests should be submitted through the Jisr platform and approved by the direct manager, ideally at least one week in advance to ensure proper planning and coverage. Employees are expected to coordinate their leave in advance and indicate a suitable substitute to handle their responsibilities during their absence. Leave is intended to be utilized within the applicable period and is not typically deferred, forfeited, or converted to cash during service.
Annual Leave — Remote Employees
An employee is entitled to 5 days of annual leave for each 6-month contract, and 10 days for each 1-year contract. These leave days are not paid out at the end of service.
Maternity Leave
Female employees are entitled to 12 weeks of maternity leave with full pay, with the 6 weeks following childbirth being mandatory. The remaining period may be taken before or after delivery, starting up to 4 weeks prior to the expected due date based on a certified medical report. If delivery occurs later than expected and the remaining leave is less than 6 weeks, the additional period will be considered unpaid. Employees may extend their maternity leave for up to 1 additional month without pay. In cases where the newborn is ill or has special needs requiring continuous care, the employee is entitled to 1 additional month of fully paid leave, which may be extended for a further 1 month without pay. Upon returning to work, employees are entitled to 1 hour per day for breastfeeding for up to 24 months, with prior notification to People & Culture.
Paternity Leave
An employee is entitled to 3 days of leave, to be taken within seven working days from the date of birth. Supporting documentation is required for such cases.
Companion Leave
An employee is entitled to a companion leave of 3 days, which may be taken consecutively or separately during the year, with supporting proof from the Sehhaty platform.
Bereavement Leave
Five days of paid leave are granted upon the death of the employee's spouse, ascendant, or descendant, calculated from the date of death. Three days of paid leave are granted upon the death of the employee's brother or sister, calculated from the date of death. As per the Saudi Labor Law.
Hajj Leave
Employees are entitled to paid leave of no less than 10 days and no more than 15 days — including the Eid al-Adha holiday — to perform Hajj once during their service period if they have not performed it before. Eligibility requires completing at least two continuous years of service with AZMX. AZMX may determine the number of employees granted this leave each year in line with work requirements. As per Article 44 of the Saudi Labor Law.
Educational Leave
Full paid leave is available for exams, subject to prior approval from AZMX. Leave for repeat-year examinations is unpaid. Applications must be submitted at least 15 days in advance with supporting documents.
Unpaid Leave
Exceptional unpaid leave of up to 20 days may be granted with management approval.
Sick Leave
Sick leave is structured in three tiers per year as per Saudi Labor Law: the first 30 days at full salary; the next 60 days at 75% salary; the following 30 days unpaid. Employees must notify their manager before the start of the workday if absent due to illness. For full contracts, a sick leave report from the Sehhaty platform must be attached; a visit notification is not accepted. For remote employees, proof of a medical visit or sick leave must be provided.
Remote Work
After completing the probation period, employees may request one remote workday per month. Requests are submitted through Jisr at least 24 hours in advance with direct manager approval. Unused days do not carry over, and this entitlement may be affected by project requirements and client expectations.
