Time Tracking

AZMX uses ClickUp to record how you spend your working hours. This is not about watching you — it is about keeping our numbers honest. We bill clients by the hour, so accurate logs protect the company from underbilling and protect you from undercounting. When your hours are recorded properly, your overtime is visible, your leave deductions are correct, and your work on each project is credited to you. Treat it as part of finishing the day, not a separate chore.

Policy

The rules

  • 01

    Weekly Task Assignment

The Technical Lead assigns tasks to each team member at the beginning of every week, along with the expected time estimates for completing those tasks.

  • 02

    Daily Time Logging

Each team member must log their working hours daily based on the tasks assigned by the Technical Lead.

  • 03

    Weekly Timesheet Submission & Approval

At the end of each week, after completing time entries, the team member must submit their timesheet. The Technical Lead then reviews and either approves or requests modifications.

How to log your hours

  1. 01

Open ClickUp and go to the tasks assigned to you.

  2. 02

Start the built-in timer when you begin work, or add a manual entry when you finish.

  3. 03

Categorise the entry against the specific client or internal project — be specific about what you did.

  4. 04

Stop the timer when you switch tasks or take a break longer than a few minutes.

  5. 05

Review and submit your week's log before the weekend. If your role requires manager approval, send it for review.

What counts as working time

  • Active work on client tasks and deliverables
  • Internal meetings, stand-ups, and one-to-ones
  • Review, QA, and feedback time
  • Workshops, training, and onboarding sessions
  • Reasonable context-switching time between tasks

What does not count

  • Your one-hour lunch break
  • Personal breaks and rest periods
  • Non-work conversations and personal errands
  • Prayer time

Common questions

I forgot to log yesterday. Can I backfill it?

Yes, as long as it is within the last seven days. Add the entry with a short note explaining the delay.

Do I track internal work that is not tied to a client?

Yes. Log it against the internal project code for your department. Internal time matters for planning and capacity reporting.

What if I spend the whole day in a workshop or training?

Track it in full. Learning time counts as working time at AZMX.

Is my activity monitored in real time?

No. Reports are pulled and reviewed weekly. The goal is accurate records, not live supervision.

What if I work past my normal hours on an urgent task?

Log the full time worked. Overtime only becomes visible if it is recorded.
